Un capannone industriale in uno dei quartieri più popolari e veri di Roma, il Mandrione. E’ la Casa dei Raccontastorie di Shoot4Change (S4c), inaugurata ieri con un evento che ha richiamato centinaia di persone interessate alla strana creatura di Antonio Amendola. Nata come un semplice blog dedicato alla fotografia, in poco tempo S4c si è trasformata in una community internazionale di fotografi che promuovono la crowdphotography e la fotografia sociale. L’idea è quella di raccontano storie di prossimità a kilometro zero, ovvero quelle che avvengono sotto le finestre di casa nostra e che spesso restano inascoltate. Storie di persone in difficoltà o di piccole associazioni che con poche risorse riescono ad aiutare il prossimo. “Abbiamo messo quattro pareti intorno al nostro sogno – ha raccontato Antonio durante l’inaugurazione – Nella nostra nuova casa condivideremo le nostre conoscenze sulla fotografia, sulla narrazione di storie reali, sottovalutate, ignorate e poi dimenticate perché considerate non remunerative dal mainstream”.
E nella Casa dei Raccontastorie ha già trovato spazio la mostra “Il terzo cavaliere”, un progetto documentaristico del fotografo di Alfons Rodriguez che vuole far luce sulle cause, gli effetti e le possibili soluzioni del problema della fame nel mondo. Antonio Amendola assicura che questa è solo la prima delle tante storie che troveranno casa in Via del Mandrione 105. Il 9 e il 10 novembre, per esempio, Mario Spada terrà un Workshop dal titolo “Raccontare per immagini” mentre a breve partirà un corso gratuito di fotografia sociale riservato a giovani in difficoltà segnalati da varie associazioni di volontariato e centri di accoglienza romani. L’obiettivo è quello di fornire loro un nuovo strumento di comunicazione che li aiuti a superare le proprie difficoltà coltivando la passione per la fotografia e magari trasformarla in un lavoro.
“Spero che questo diventi un luogo in cui grazie a sinergie e incontri inaspettati si possano creare progetti che altrimenti non potrebbero mai nascere – confida Antonio – Fino ad oggi S4c è cresciuta utilizzando il web e gli incontri in giro per il mondo ma sentivamo il bisogno di avere uno spazio reale oltre che virtuale, uno spazio aperto a chiunque voglia condividere con noi le sue conoscenze”. E al grido di “Change the world with a click” sono ormai migliaia i fotografi di S4c in giro per il globo: se avete una storia ora sapete a chi raccontarla.
